Sunrise on the eastside, sunset on the west
I’ve emptied my pockets and given my best
My toes keep on dipping in waters unknown
And ripples they carry to shore

The cracks in the sidewalk which trace my path home
Leave nothing but starry nights outside alone
The minutes seem longer, the incense burn slower
And photos still on the wall

Been away… for far too long
Distance denies requests and replies to have you in my arms for another day
